Jeremy has been involved in the soccer community here in Eugene for the last 16 years as a top-level player. He played with the Lane Community College Titans in 1999 when they won league over the U of O and OSU before going on and placing well in the National Tournament. Jeremy is an intense player in the Men's 'A' league and in the local Latino league, and often plays a coaches roll on his teams.
Jeremy's coaching career started as the girl's JV Head Coach at South Eugene High School. During his time at South, Jeremy's teams have been the strongest and most successful in the Mid Western League at that level. He has organized and facilitated summer trainings focusing on Speed/Agility and incoporating ACL injury prevention strategies for the girls attending SEHS.
Jeremy has coached for EMFC for the last five years. He was the Head Coach of the girl's U12/13 Phoenix first in 2006 and again in 2007. He was the Head Coach of the boy's U13/14 Rangers. In 2010 he took on the head coaching position of the U12 Athletica White and the U15 Chelsea girl teams. Players on Jeremy's teams have benefited by his tactful and comprehensive approach to coaching.
In 2008 Jeremy became the Head Coach of the Top Soccer Program. Top Soccer is an outreach program for children with special needs. He looks forward to any and every opportunity to help youth players develop their skills, become part of a community and to develop a passion for the sport. In additon, Jeremy has also been a staff coach at the successful Little Metro program for EMFC younger players.
Jeremy graduated the University of Oregon with a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Human Services. He has 13 years experience working with youth and families for the YMCA as a Child Care and Summer Camp Director. He is currently working at Madison Middle School in the Regional Learning Center where he works one on one with an Austistic boy and teaches and assists in many other classes.
Jeremy currently holds a USSF National "C" License.
